About	A native of Haywood County he was the son of the late Phillip and Mable Sheehan Bennett. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a step-son, James "Tony" Scarboro. Donald retired after 41 years in maintenance at Champion Paper. A member of Hazelwood Baptist Church, he enjoyed working in his yard and camping at Lake Chatuge. Donald is survived by his wife of 30 years, Carrie Louise Shelton Bennett; a granddaughter, Devon Scarboro Singleton (Cody); sister-in-law, Carolyn Shelton Grooms (Paul); nieces, Amy Russell, Lisa Monteith, Jordan Nichols (Josh) and Paula Russell; daughter-in-law, Leah Taylor; great-niece, Alice and nephew, Boone.
