I have served in the Army in the Active, Reserve, and National Guard components for twenty-four years. I currently serve as the Senior Chaplain Clinician at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, DC. My follow on assignment is to the Command and General Staff College, Intermediate Level Education School, Fort Leavenworth, KS

Colonel John Conaway (RET) served 10 years in the Air National Guard, followed by 24 on active duty. John retired in October 2018. His last assignment was in Washington DC as the Director of ANG Security Forces.

I work full-time for the Oregon Army National Guard as an Operations NCO. I will retire in around three and a half years and look forward to starting my new life after the Military. The photo was news crews talking to me at the airport after returning from one of my deployments.

Served as a cavalry scout with the 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division in 2003-2004, and with the 4th Infantry Division in 2008-2009, and is now a medical evacuation Blackhawk pilot in Fort Knox, KY.
