About Me Been busy....After graduating high school and while attending college, I studied and worked in the music industry in production, promotions and sales in the NY/NJ area. I initially worked in the recording industry producing demo records for Warner Brothers Publishing. My expertise in this field gained me respect from jazz greats such as Dizzy Gillespie, Clark Terry and Gerry Mulligan. My work in promotions brought me together with the likes of the Rolling Stones and Meat Loaf. I was employed part-time as a law enforcement officer and in my spare time, I worked as an adjunct instructor with the WVHS band. I relocated to California and Florida during the eighties for business but wasn’t content. I returned home to accept an offer of employment as an assistant to the vice president at NJ Blue Cross/Blue Shield. During this time, I became an active member of the Hawthorne Caballeros Drum & Bugle Corps. For several years I had been shooting photography as a hobby. I started photographing the drum corps. This hobby became more like a profession as the members of the drum corps started purchasing my photos. This new "career" quickly gained me notoriety throughout the drum corps circuit. In 1992, I was appointed chief photographer to the “World Drum & Bugle Corps” organized of the best musicians from drum corps worldwide for a one-time performance, leading the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade. I was given the opportunity to photograph NY Giants games. That then opened the door to a new horizon. Relocating to Colorado in 1993, I became a pro sports, media and entertainment photographer. I was privileged to study digital imaging with renowned photographer Douglas Kirkland in 1994 at United Artists Digital Imaging. Since, my subjects have ranged from Pope John Paul to Muhammad Ali to Bruce Springsteen. I was the personal photographer to Mayor Wellington Webb of Denver from 1993-98. In 1995, I was a lead photographer at the US Olympic Festival. I was the chief photographer at the Denver “Summit of the Eight” (G-8) in 1997, photographing leaders of the world. Many of my photographic works have been widely published and adorn the walls of museums, governmental buildings and sports venues around the country, including the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame and the Frank Lloyd Wright Marin Civic Center. I am legally blind and photograph under the name, “Blind Images”. Well-known for my image of Eric Young belting out the first home-run at the Inaugural Rockies Game in 1993, I continued photographing the team and became a member of the “Colorado Rockies Prospector Club” from 1993-1998. I helped promote and market Major League Baseball to the Rocky Mountain community. The Colorado Rockies awarded me for obtaining “#1 in Number of Seasons Tickets Sold” and “#2 in Ticket Sales Revenue” for the 1994 season. Since 1994, the Blue Knights Drum & Bugle Corps has assigned me as the Official Photographer to “Drums Along the Rockies” an annual competition at Mile High Stadium. I was also appointed to photograph the 2004 Drum Corps International World Championship held in Denver. During the 2001 and 2002 seasons, I was the Media Relations Director for the United Women’s Professional Football League. I have photographed all major league and Olympic sports in Colorado. I was appointed to the Governor’s Commission and the Mayor’s Commission for Older People and People with Disabilities where I served as an advocate from 1995-2003. A member of the Coors Field and Pepsi Center Access Advisory Boards, and Consultant to the NFL for Super Bowl, I was instrumental in the design of the disability accesses at these venues. During the tragic events that took place at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado, in April 1996, I volunteered as the resource coordinator on the scene. Through his expertise in resource management, I was able to acquire donations of over 30 million dollars in food, supplies, equipment, lodging, transportation, and communications to be utilized at the scene by thousands of law enforcement, fire and ems personnel over a period of more than three weeks. I was also instrumental in organizing a “Safe House” for the students of Columbine within days following the shootings. The Mayor of Denver appointed me to membership on the Emergency Planning Board of the City & County of Denver in 1996. I served as a board member of the Emergency Disaster Services of the Salvation Army Intermountain Division from 1996-2002. Wiggins Rural Fire District appointed me as an Honorary Member in 1998. I was commended by the Chief as a “highly valued asset to the department for his invaluable emergency management assistance”. In 1999, I successfully re-organized the NFL Alumni, Rocky Mountain Chapter; a nonprofit organization of former NFL players who fundraise for children’s based charities. I held positions as the Media Relations Director and Membership Director for the Alumni from 1999-2002. Several professional athletes of sports other then football, urged me to organize events in which they too could participate. The results of this request came in the form of the incorporation of Pro Players Association in 2002. Pro Players Association (PPA) is a national non-profit corporation of professional athletes, media personalities, and associate members, whose mission is to raise funds for charitable causes and provide community service. I recently completed a two-year term as Public Safety Commissioner for the Town of Castle Rock. In conjunction with this position, I attended and graduated from the Castle Rock Police Department Citizen’s Police Academy. Burn Survivors throughout the World, a nonprofit organization providing medical and psychological services to burn victims worldwide, appointed me to their International Board as Director of Fund Raising. In addition, PPA has officially been designated as their Colorado Chapter in August 2006. A victim of identity theft, I recently co-starred in a video documentary “Identity Theft, Real Problems…Real Solutions” produced by the Colorado 18th Judicial District and Aurora Public Television. The highly lauded program has been aired over public and cable television several times since its recent July 2006 r...(read more)
