Gary Paul Smith, age 67 of Wayland, MI, passed away December 22, 2020 at home surrounded by his family. Gary was born to Clyde and Ruth Smith on March 26, 1953.
Gary was an Allegan County Sheriffs Deputy since 1983, had worked at Wayland Schools, and was on Wayland City Council.
Gary is survived by his wife, Deb Smith, of over 35 years, his daughters Shana Bolkema (Braden), Leslie Gray (Chris), Hillary Nyenhuis (Eric), seven grandchildren, his two sisters Bonnie Purcell and Connie Taylor (Frank) and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
