Here's the plan for the football game Friday, October 18th
There will be reserved stadium seating for our class of '74 and the class of ‘69. (So we can all sit together.)
Former football team members should plan to arrive at 6:30 pm A pregame ceremony honoring Coach Lupin and the teams of ‘68 and ‘73 will commence approx. 6:45 pm.
Football and student body photos from our era can be shown on the scoreboard screen. (We’ll need to collect and format those.)
We’re heading to O’Brien’s after the game.
So it might be a good idea for all of us to meet at the stadium by 6:30 pm that night. Anybody into tailgating?
Mr. Miller told John that the Class of '74 was welcome to pitch a tent or otherwise tailgate together in the lot between the stadium and the Elm St. School.

The 2nd Annual Great Florida Escape
February 16th – 18th
Times flying y’all and to date I have only heard from six couples that would like to attend the Great Florida Escape. The date will be Monday February 16th through Wednesday February 18th. Monday afternoon/evening will be an icebreaker in the Sand Bar. Tuesday will be various activities depending on how many confirm they are coming and Wednesday will be more activities and dinner in the Tiffany Room, which has a fantastic view of the Indian River. There are plenty of activities at Hirams and nearby Vero beach, from boating, fishing and golf to kicking back on the beach. Check it out at hirams.com.
I need to confirm that we will have at least 35 couples in order to book the Tiffany Room for dinner.
A Banquet Dinner Buffet in the Tiffany Room will run from $ 30 to $36 and add $6 if you would like a Prime Rib Carving Station. A barbecue or clambake on Bimini Beach will run $22 to $32 depending on menu we choose. We can have both, on different nights or a Barbecue or Banquet Dinner, depending on your preferences.
Please return to me your choices below and I must have your confirmation to attend and choice of meals by November 31st. I will need to sign a contract at that time with a $500 dollar deposit and the balance & final details by February 1st

There are many more of you that said you would like to come, but I haven’t heard from you! I need a commitment if we are going to make further plans. Last year we had classmates from the class of 1959 through the class of 1967. Post this notice wherever you think it might get some attention and tell you friends, family and other classmates and don’t be bashful about asking your friends & family from Sayre & Athens.
Here in Florida, Bob & Jan Tubbs live just up the road in Barefoot Bay, Dan & Rosemary Barton & Larry & Helen McNeal also live nearby and attended last year. Butch Havens lives here in Sebastian & I believe Mike Garrison isn’t far away either. Mike Madison is in Melbourne and Geoff Bodine. I know that many of you live part time or vacation in Florida in February, so I am looking forward to hearing from you all soon. I didn’t forget Sunny Muir in Sebring, Dave Lake in Sarasota, Diana Tubbs-VanCuran in Bradenton, Jim & Gracie Schweiger in Apollo Beach did I?? I know there are many more of you in the area as well.
Hope to see many of you in February and it looks like winter is starting early in the north-lands, so February would be a welcome break from the snow & Cold.
