John Henningson
Class of 1962
Army, 3 Years
Received a commission in the the Artillery after completing Basic and AIT in Combat Engineering at Ft Leonard Wood MO and Officer Candidate School in OK. Servered as the Executive Officer (XO) of a 155 Self Propelled Howitzer Battery at Ft Riley KS. Then was sent to I Corps in Vietnam with the Americal Division as a forward observer with the 1/52 infantry and a Liaison Officer with 2/1st Infantry. Released from active duty in 1971.

Our Watervliet High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done!
