Events Audrey J. Scharp, 88, peacefully passed away on January 23, 2026.



A memorial service will be held at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Watertown, WI on Friday January 30, 2026 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Karl Walther officiating. Family and friends may gather for visitation at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will occur at the Lutheran Cemetery in Watertown, WI at a later date. Memorials, if desired, may be directed to St. Mark's Lutheran School's Tuition fund.



Audrey Jane Jaeger was born to parents Harley and Lenora (Rose) Jaeger on April 15, 1937, on their family farm in Lebanon, Wisconsin. She was baptized on April 27, 1937, and later confirmed on April 2, 1950, both at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lebanon. After graduating from Watertown High School in 1955, Audrey worked for 22 years at the National Tea Grocery Store on Cady St. in Watertown where she met her husband Herman. She worked there until it closed. On April 22, 1961, Audrey was united in marriage to Herman Scharp at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lebanon, Wisconsin. Later on Audrey worked for GB Lewis (Menasha Corporation) for 24 years, “closing down” the company upon her retirement.



Audrey loved shopping, especially visiting flea markets and thrift stores. One of her favorite pastimes was meeting friends at Hardees. She also enjoyed occasional bus trips to different Casinos to play a few rounds on the slot machines. Audrey enjoyed her last six years living with her daughter Lynda in Reeseville.



Audrey is survived by her two children, Lynda Neigel of Reeseville and Dan (Greta) Scharp of Fond Du Lac; 5 grandchildren, Nathaniel Derr, Jeremiah Derr, Joshua (Tricia) Derr, Matthew (Kayla) Scharp, and Jacob (Taylor) Scharp; great grandchildren, Couper Derr, Rowen Derr, Roslyn Derr, Emma Derr, Zoey Derr, Molly Derr, Elena Scharp, and one baby Scharp on her way; and sisters, Sharon Grulke and Bonnie Jaeger; as well as other relatives and friends.



Audrey was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herman Scharp; son-in-law, Larry Neigel; brother-in-law, Melvin Grulke; as well as other brothers and sisters-in-law.
