James "Jim" Ruben Werner was born on March 20, 1944, to his parents Ruben and Evelyn (Nimm) Werner in Watertown, WI. He graduated from Watertown High School in 1962. On May 4, 1968, Jim was united in marriage to Mary A. Tessmann at St. Henry's Catholic Church in Watertown. Jim dedicated nearly 50 years of service to Lindberg Electric until their closing, after which he spent the remaining five years of his career with Eaton Corporation before retiring. Jim had a deep love for the outdoors and cherished any opportunity to head up north to his son Michael’s land where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time around a campfire. He also had a fondness for animals, especially eagles and his beagle pups. In his later years, Jim found joy in playing solitaire on his computer, having friends over, and his nightly phone calls from his grandson Shayne after the workday. James is survived by his loving wife, Mary A. Werner; children, Patrick Werner, Michael (Laura Maas) Werner, and Susan Fluhr; grandchildren, Shayne Fluhr, Lily Fluhr, and Kasen Fluhr; and sister-in-law, Sandy Werner; as well as many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. James was preceded in death by his parents, Ruben and Evelyn Werner; brother, Thomas Werner; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Herbert and Katherine Tessmann. |
