Wollin, 81, passed away on July 6, 2025 at 9:55 PM at Rainbow Hospice in Johnson Creek, WI Carol Jean Goetz was born in Brookfield, WI, to Clarence and Marcella Goetz on January 23, 1944. In 1955, the family moved to Watertown, WI, after purchasing a dairy farm north of town, where they raised their two daughters, Mary and Carol. Carol graduated from Watertown High School in 1962. After high school, she worked at Bentzien Grocery Store. During this time, she loved to go dancing frequently, and it was through dancing that she met Donald Wollin of Milford, WI. Carol and Donald were married on September 24, 1966. Donnie and Carol farmed the home farm where Donnie had grown up, working alongside Donnie’s father. After many years farming there, they decided to move to Watertown in 1978, purchasing Carol’s parents’ farm, where they continued milking cows and maintained a registered herd of Red and White Holsteins. While milking cows, Carol was involved with the Registered Holstein Association, the FFA Alumni, and many other organizations, as they took great pride in their dairy herd. Donnie and Carol raised two sons, Tim and Troy, were they very involved with the boys and with helping as the boys showed cattle in 4-H and FFA until they graduated high school. In 1997, Donnie and Carol decided to sell their cattle and retire. Later, Carol worked at Berres Bros Coffee in Watertown. She continued to go dancing every weekend, where she met her friend Ed. Carol and Ed would dance nearly every weekend, sharing a love for polka dancing. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, sister and son Tim Wollin. She is survived by her son, Troy Wollin (Bernie Weiss) of Watertown; two grandsons, Weston Wollin of Watertown and Walker Wollin of Watertown; and beloved nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown, WI on Saturday July 12, 2025 at 12 p.m. with Fr. Tim Renz officiating. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home for visitation from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
