Events	Jeffrey “Jeff” H. Pingel, 66, of Watertown, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2025. A memorial service will be held on May 3rd, 2025 at Hafemeister Funeral Home with Pastor Walther of St. Marks Watertown officiating. Family and friends may gather at Hafemeister Funeral Home starting at 10am until the time of the service at noon. Celebration of life immediately following at Casey's on Q in Richwood, food will be served. Jeffrey “Jeff” Harold Pingel was born on September 20, 1958, in Columbus, Wisconsin to Harold and Inez (née Blunk). He attended Watertown High School. Jeff was a carpenter, welder, worked on the family farm, was a meat processor at IBP and an employee at Kusel Dairy Equipment. Jeff was an avid outdoorsman who especially loved hunting deer, pheasant, and coyote. He also enjoyed fishing and took great pleasure in trips to the Upper Peninsula, particularly those spent hunting alongside his grandson, Connor. For a time, Jeff practiced taxidermy, reflecting his deep appreciation for nature. He also enjoyed socializing with good friends. Known for his quick wit and sharp sense of humor, Jeff was always ready with a joke. He made his home in Westfield for the last 25 years. Jeff is survived by his son, Joseph “Joe” (Jana) Pingel; grandchildren, Bri, Kaeli, and Connor; Joe’s mother, Debra (née Kephart) Schuett; siblings, Jan (Steve) Raue, and Janelle (Glenn) Soldner; sister-in-law, Alice Pingel; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Jeff was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Joyce (Ev) Lemke; and brother, John Pingel.
