Events | Henry "Hank" H. Lehmann, 88, passed away on September 4, 2024. A Funeral Service will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Watertown, WI with Pastor Nicholas Quinnett officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service with friends and family. Immediately following the service, Hank will be laid to rest at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by American Legion Post #189 at the Graveside. In Lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. John's Lutheran Church. Hafemeister Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Watertown is serving the family. Online condolences may be left at www.HafemeisterFH.com. Henry Harley Lehmann was born to parents Harley and Mabel (Krueger) Lehmann in Oak Grove, Wisconsin on August 15, 1936. Hank graduated from Watertown High School and served in the Army National Guard during the Berlin Crisis. He worked at the Watertown Police Department, eventually retiring after 25 years of service. Hank married the love of his life, the late Ruth Seefeldt on May 3, 1958. Hank had a deep passion for taxidermy, specializing initially in fish and birds and later honing his skills with deer heads. An enthusiastic outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time at his family cabin. Additionally, Hank was an avid tinkerer who worked on model trains and airplanes. He also cherished moments with his dogs and valued time spent with his family. Henry is survived by his children: Renee (Matt) Grischow of Fort Atkinson, Hank (Lynn) Lehmann of Wausaukee, and Jenny (Ray) Sherry of Watertown. Hank is further survived by his three grandchildren: Lauren, Jacob, and Brandon; his siblings: Charlotte Buchta, Ernie (Bev) Lehmann, Chuck (Gail) Lehmann, Ken (Lori) Lehmann, Virginia Lehmann, and Richard Lehmann, in addition to his many other relatives and friends. Henry was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth; his parents; and sibling Suzie (Ken) Blasing. |
