Events	Daniel R. Piper, 74, of Lake Mills, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at the Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center. He was born on March 17, 1950, in Watertown, WI to the late Arden and Betty (Wiedenhoeft) Piper. He graduated from Watertown High School Class of 1968. Daniel married Shelly Sue Scheel on December 22, 1979, in Lake Mills, WI. She died on August 7, 2024. Prior to retirement he had been employed by the former APV Crepaco and later Fisher Barton in Watertown. Dan was a member of the Lake Mills Moravian Church and the Clarence Bean-Warren George Lake Mills American Legion Post #67. He enjoyed woodworking, camping, cross-country road-trips, and the company of friends that found his laid-back personality a joy to be around. He held a special place in his heart for warm vacations by the ocean. His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy and they will miss him immensely. Survivors include three daughters Sommer (Bill) Harford, Nicole Piper (Paulino Duran), Taylor Piper; grandkids Shea, Lennon, Arden, and Wilder; his sister, Beri (Noe) Leija; his brother, Tod Piper; his two loyal companions, Sunny and Hank; other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by his brother, John Piper. A Celebration of Dan’s Life will be held at a future date.
