Events Melvin R. Boeder, 73, of Watertown, passed away unexpectedly at Watertown Regional Medical Center on Monday, January 27, 2025.



A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Watertown with Rev. Carina Schiltz officiating. Relatives and friends may gather at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow at the Lutheran Cemetery in Watertown. Melvin Roy Boeder was born on August 15, 1951 to John and Arvada (Ninmann) Boeder in Watertown. He was a 1972 graduate of Watertown High School. Mick worked as a machine operator for Johnson Controls/Baso in Watertown until his retirement in 2017.



He enjoyed listening to Elvis and Johnny Cash. Mick liked to go camping and watch the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers. Mick was also the most gracious host and always made sure everyone was offered a drink.



Mick is survived by he wife Cynthia Boeder of Watertown; three children: Jennifer Boeder of Sullivan, Amber Boeder of Beaver Dam, Ashley (Mark) Lawson of Watertown; grandchildren: Tyler (Ashley) Boeder, Courtney (fiance Hunter Schlesner) Boeder, Erica Boeder, Chelsea Philbrick-Boeder, Levi Lawson, Abbigail Boeder; great-grandchildren, Micah Boeder, Rhys Boeder; father-in-law, Melvin Klug; step-brother, Kenneth Boeder; brother, Ronald (Sandra) Boeder; close cousins: Karen (Dan) Kaddatz, Roger (Patti) Krueger, Sheila (Phil) Strunz; as well as other relatives and friends.



He was preceded in death by his parents; aunt and uncle who raised him, Clarence and Doris Krueger; siblings: Harris Boeder, Gilbert Boeder; step sister-in-law, Susan Boeder.
