Events Michael Eugene Stangler “Mike”

Age 67, Passed away peacefully at home on February 6, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 13, 1957 in Watertown, WI to Joseph and Gertrude (Nee McFarland) Stangler. Mike was a current resident of Ixonia, WI. He graduated from Watertown High School in 1975 and married his High School sweetheart, Connie Kuehl on August 20, 1977 in Watertown, WI.



Throughout his career, Mike worked for several beverage companies, including Wisconsin Wetgoods, River City Distributing, and 7Up. He found his greatest joy in spending time with family and friends. He had a deep love for the outdoors, especially when on water, whether cruising the rock river in his boat or enjoying the annual family boating trips up and down the Mississippi River. His distinctive laugh was unmistakable, a sound that could fill a room and bring warmth to all who knew him. Mike had a gift for spreading happiness, and his presence was a source of light and laughter to many.



Mike is survived by his wife, Connie; his children; Brianna (Gary) Kurtz, Ashley (TJ) Jobke, Kevin (Mela) Stangler and Brian (Megan) Stangler, and his cherished grandchildren, Reilly, Michael, Mya, Brayden, Reagan, Taryn, Payton, Mason, Layla and Eden. He is also survived by his siblings; Joan Stangler, Lorraine Bruegger, Lawrence (Barb) Stangler and Joyce Wood; his in-laws; Janet Stangler, Roxanne and Ed Witte, Vonnie and Kelvin Buske, Terry Kuehl, Sandy and William Mayhew, along with many nieces, nephews and extended family members.



Mike was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, James Stangler, a nephew; Jeffrey Stangler, brothers-in-law; George Bruegger and Steven Wood, and his father and mother-in-law; Wilfred and Shirley Kuehl.



A celebration of Mike’s Life will take place on Friday, February 14, at St. Marks Lutheran Church, 615 Jones Street from 9:00 AM until the time of memorial service at 11:00 AM.



In lieu of flowers, if desired please consider a memorial in memory of Mike to Rainbow Hospice or Wounded Warriors Project. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Rainbow Hospice and Harder Funeral Home for their compassionate care and support.



Michael’s kindness, laughter and love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
