| About Me | Went to Virginia Tech in the fall of '62. Stayed until the fall of 1964. Joined the United States Air Force in January 1965. After training in Texas spent 3 years as an Acccounting Specialist assigned to a fighter wing in Germany. After completing service returned to Virginia Tech in January, 1969. Graduated in 1971, and began working with the public accounting firm, Price Waterhouse during which time I passed the CPA exam. After five years with Price Waterhouse I joined the corporate staff of The Washington Post Company as Director of Internal Audit. In 1978 I moved to become Asst. Controller of The Wahsington Post newspaper. After 25 plus years with The Post, I retired in September, 2001. On the personal side, in 1972 I married Carolyn Collins, a '61 Wakefield , Mary Washington and University of Richmond Law School graduate. We enjoy travelling, and have made a number of trips abroad.
