About	Amy was a graduate of Washington High School and the AVTS Cosmetology program. She had an accomplished career in Cosmetology spanning 46 years starting at Joann's Salon in Kansas City, Kansas, then worked for Lords and Ladies in Kansas City, Kansas before starting her own salon, Shear Impressions in 1980 also in Kansas City, Kansas. Amy's great happiness was being with her family and lake time. She had a heart of gold, and will be remembered for her happy smile. She will be greatly missed not only by family and friends, but the many clients she had over the years throughout her career. Amy is preceded in death by her Grandparents Joe and Mary McCarty, Blaise and Marie Malnar, and Father Gary McCarty. She is survived by our beautiful village; husband Barry Marvel, daughters Blakeley Marvel, and Ali Marvel, her step sons Shawn Marvel and Brandon Marvel. Her loving grandchildren Dominick, Sophia, Mila, Luciano and Penelope. Amy is also survived by her Mother JoAnn McCarty, siblings Michael (Marty) McCarty, Patrick McCarty, Dee (Craig) Gier, Vicki (Dennis) Smith, Gary (Amy) McCarty, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
