About | Priscilla was born November 23, 1958 to Donald and Patricia Roland. Fondly nicknamed Cissy, Cis, Ms. Priscilla, Ms. Kelly, Boss, Princess, and the I-70 Mom, Priscilla was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. After graduating from Washington High School in 1976, Priscilla acquired a license of cosmetology and worked as a hairdresser for over 40 years. She was a Jack-of-many-trades and master of them all; from styling hair and managing a hair salon, to driving school buses and processing payroll at USD 500. She is survived by her children Casey Kelly and Kelsey Trammel (Joseph); her mother Patricia Roland; her siblings Jennifer Radcliff, Michael Roland, Dawn Roland, and Leah Hamilton (Randy); and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and dear friends. After a year-long battle with lung cancer, Priscilla passed peacefully in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, January 2, 2025. She is preceded in death by her son Kyle Kelly; her father Donald Roland; her uncle John Jobe (Opal), and aunt Vickie Trimble (Duke); her brother Donald “Bubby” Roland Jr.; and her nephews Charles “Charlie” Roland and Anthony Cunningham. Priscilla was a cornerstone member of our family. She was a rearer and protector of children, who extended her guiding love and influence (and Little Debbie snacks) to her siblings, their children, their children’s children, and especially to her own children and their friends. She never failed to offer help, food, or kindness to others in moments of need (emphasis on the food). Her friendships spanned dozens of miles and years. She enjoyed sharing meals and phone conversations with loved ones, watching soap operas, pranking people on April Fool’s Day, and supporting her children in all of their endeavors. We will miss her witty humor, her brilliant intuition, and her healing home-cooked meals. Kelsey and Casey wish to express their deepest gratitude to Priscilla’s care team at Elevate Hospice, Rodnina Aguilar and the staff at McGilley Antioch Chapel, and to those who supported them in caring for her through some of the toughest moments of their lives. Thank you all so much. |
