Class of 1971 Baketball team
Class of 1971
I am a proud member of “The Class of 1971 who compiled a Four year Basketball record of 91% W/L record on 60 victories and 6 losses. In the Wamac it was a phenomenal 98% W/L record on 41 wins and only one loss.†by Dick Woods Cedar Valley Daily Times ((After final playoff game vs. West Waterloo we were 17-2 = 86%)
Frosh: 8-1 (If you count the B games, 8-1, we were 16-2)
Soph: 18-0 and 14-0 in conference
Jrs. 17-4 and 13-1 in conference
Seniors: 17-2 and 14-0 in conference
60-7 41-1
AND at that time, “Owned the best Varsity season’s record in school history at 17-1 and on a 17 game winning streak.†(3/2/71 Dick Woods CVDT)
