Two tours in Viet Nam as a Helicopter Pilot and Company Commander. Primary Assignments in Aviation and Military Intelligence. Retired from Army in 1986.

Robert Hartness
Class of 1993
Army, 20+ Years
Staff Sargeant Hartness has served 3 tours of duty in Iraq and will soon be leaving for a 3 year station in Alaska at Ft. Wainwright. Did basic training at Ft. Jackson, South Carolina then was stationed at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky with the 101st Airborne. Is air assault trained but has been stationed at Ft. Riley, Kansas for the past several years. Plans on going to Ft. Hood, Texas when the Alaska tour is over.

Served in Germany, Greece, multiple stateside locations including NORAD Cheyenne Mountain Complex Colorado Springs and the Pentagon. While in Greece hosted John and Carolyn Kennedy at a remote communications site.
