About	Steve was a very good friend of mine while I attended WUHS. Although he was one class below me (grad in '65), we shared a number of adventures, surfing along coastal beaches (Pismo, Avila, Cayucos and a few others) on weekends (since we were 'inland surfers', LoL). We also mutually developed an early interest in motorcycles, being the first two Wasco kids to get the new Honda 50s (in 1962). Both of us retained that interest throughout our lives, although Steve ended up with a very pricey Harley that he and his wife Claire occasionally blasted off to the coast on (I stayed loyal to Japanese pocket-rockets). Not long after I joined the Air Force ('66), Steve also enlisted, electing to make a career out of it and developed quite a name for himself as (among other areas of work) a highly regarded F-4E and T-38 Flight Simulator Instructor, teaching aircrew to fly their big jet fighters. Steve finally retired with the rank of master Sergeant and a number of citations for his accomplishments serving his country, after serving for 25 years. Regrettably, Steve passed away in 2015, leaving behind his wife, family and a number of us former WUHS friends...but not before having lived a full, exciting and interesting life! Steve is sorely missed by those of us who knew him well and I am sure I speak for all when I say he is now in a far better place!
