Army, 20+ Years
Joined the army in 1973 from Coos Bay, Oregon. Basic Training was at Ft Leonard Wood, Mo. AIT (Advanced Individual Training) was at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. Graduated as Special Weapons Maintenance Specialist. First assignment was as an Instructor for Special Weapons Maintenance at Redstone Arsenal. Next assignment was 138th Ordnance Company in Greece. Next assignment was NWSB at Ft Lewis, Wa. Next assignment was the 64th Ordnance Company in Germany. Next assignment was as a Special Weapons Instructor at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. Next assignment was USA PAL Detachment in Germany and further assigned to the office of Assistant Chief of Staff for Materiel at 59th Brigade in Germany. Next assignment was as a Special Weapons Instructor at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. Next assignment was as a Special Weapons Advisor at the 72d Ordnance Battalion in Germany. Next assignment was back to Redstone Arsenal as a Special Weapons Instructor until I retired in March of 1993. Currently working for the army at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama for the Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) as the Business Manager of the Auto Skills Center. Have worked for FMWR since 1993 to present.
