| About Me | After working in schools and hospitals in Michigan and completing my first year of a PhD program, I moved to CA for the weather, beauty of nature, and many activities available for entertainment. That was a great time for learning about and experiencing so many of the interests and activities of the area, especially since there were so many single adults who were moving into the area at the same time. I married and then divorced after 20 months. I invested myself into the California Teachers Association, eventually becoming Chairman of the Presidents of the local associations in my region of 5,000 members. I married again and divorced after 15 years together. During that time we bought a "dream house", went to Europe a few times, plus Hawaii. I earned credentials to teach the Visually Impaired, Resource Specialist, and Specifically Designed Academic Instruction in English. I joined a social and philanthropic association of 1,000 members and became the Arts and Entertainment Director. I've had a couple of episodes of depression and I'm doing well due to dumping the incompetent "therapist" who was anything but helpful.
