| About Me | College and Law School, married Ellen (aka "SHE Who Must Be Obeyed") in '73, 3 children. Served as an ass't. prosecutor (including time as Chief Counsel, Civil Division; First Chair in two dozen death penalty cases); Assistant to Special Prosecutor; attorney in private practice, magistrate, Common Pleas Court Judge (started 8/1/05), and served for three years as that Court's Administrative Judge (2014-2016); retired 12/31/2016. Visiting Judge for Franklin County for a couple years, then retired after serving 2.5 years as a one of two Judges on the Ohio Court of Claims. Adjunct instructor, Columbus State Community College (6 years); prepared and presented multiple seminars and CLE classes for the Columbus Bar Association for over 25 years; 35 years (and counting) Volunteer for VoiceCORPS (radio reading service for the blind and shut ins); Tutor, Board Member, and Executive Board Member at the Godman Guild; Drug Court Judge, 2008-2013; Shamrock Club member for over 30 years; we (team of 5) won the Shamrock Club Dart League a couple of times. Ran and completed 8 marathons, including Boston (1992), but nowhere nearly as quickly as Dale (Keenan) who could have driven halfway back to Albany by the time I finished...Dale and I ran a Columbus Marathon "together" in 1982 (yes, he finished well over half an hour before I did)--we also met and spoke with Bill Rodgers there. ...(read more) |
