Harold J. Burnison 1946-2009
BAZETTA - Harold J. Burnison, 62, of Bazetta, died at his residence Friday, June 19, 2009. He was born Dec. 5, 1946, in Washington, D.C., a son of Vincent and Helen Edwards Burnison. A Warren area resident for most of his life, he was a 1964 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, attended Kent State University and ETI Technical School, and was a journeyman mechanic.
Harold served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, after which he was employed as a millwright for Brainard Steel and for the past 14 years as a furnace operator at Kennametal in Orwell. A long time member of the Warren YMCA, he enjoyed computers, reading, fishing, racquetball and art, and was a history buff. He also was a freshwater aquarium enthusiast. He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen. He will be sadly missed by his father Vincent of Warren; a brother, Clifford (Marilyn) Burnison of Bloomsburg, Pa.; a sister, Helen J. Burnison of Champion; and two nieces, four nephews and seven great-nieces and -nephews. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Roberts-Clark Chapel, where friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Glenn Hamilton will officiate. Interment will be in Pineview Memorial marker HH44 next to his mother.
