About	Gregory S. Bellay 1949-2019 Oct 9, 2019 CORTLAND — Gregory S. Bellay, 69, of Cortland, passed peacefully on Friday, Oct. 4, 2019, at his residence, with his wife by his side. He was born on Dec. 25, 1949, in Warren, the son of Joseph and Cecilia Ivock Bellay. After graduating from Warren G. Harding High School in 1968, Gregory attended Youngstown State University. He received his degree in civil engineering. Gregory worked as a consultant for various telephone companies, traveling throughout the United States. He was an outside plant engineer working for United Telephone Company of Ohio, Sprint, Embarq and CenturyLink. He retired after 34 years in his chosen profession. Gregory was an accomplished pianist, enjoyed day trips, stamp collecting, woodworking and gardening. He attended the First Methodist Church of Warren, where he sang in the choir. Memories of Gregory will be carried on by the love of his life, his wife of 20 years, Joy Bellay; his three stepchildren, Mark McGraw, Matthew McGraw and Debra Navarra; his eight step-grandchildren, Joey, Ashlee, Joanna, Renee, David, Morgan, Logan Marie and Jaycee; and his six step-great-grandchildren, Noah, Malia, Carmilla Rey, Calvin, Kollin and Ryder. Gregory was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Cecilia; and his brother, Jim Bellay.
