About Me	Keep Family First; even through the tough times & arguements as well as the good times & laughter. Your Family should always be a Blessing & never a Burden. Welcome Relatives!!! This is a place to come & get acquainted with other family members from the descendants of James A. "Jim / Pa Jim" Evans II & Martha A. "Mammy" (Caudle) Evans. As well as the descendants of John Haywood "Old Man Beak" Caudle & Mary Ellen "Polly" (Evans) Caudle, they are the parents of Martha A. "Mammy" (Caudle) Evans. This page was originally intended in the beginning stages to be a place for the immediate family of James A. "Jim / Pa Jim" Evans II & Martha A. (Caudle) Evans after I located the descendants of brothers Matthew Evans & Raymond Williams (sons of James Haywood Evans), hence the name Evans Page; but as you all can see this Page/Family movement took on a life of its own, obviously meant to include every branch of our family coming from the original connection/union of the Cordle/Caudle & Evans blood line; which was the union of John Haywood "Old Man Beak" Caudle & Mary Ellen "Polly" (Evans) Caudle. Some of our Family also includes those descended from Walter Sneed of Warren Co., NC and his 3 wives: Mary Frances Bailey-Peterson, Mary Frances Green (daughter of James Thomas Green & Pennie Copeland), and Sallie Bett Alston. Many of you have the Williams surname, as well as Sneed, all are welcome. This page also includes info & links to the branch of the first couple of color who were the grand parents of Mary Ellen "Polly" (Evans) Caudle (mentioned above). They were a family of slaves born into slavery & eventually freed from slavery & died free people of color. They took on the surname of Green upon receiving their freedom. From the forbidden love affair of a white slave master Samuel Wiiliams, Jr. & a slave girl Lucretia "Crease" one child was born Thomas "Tom". Tom took a wife in what appears the slave way of jumping the broom on the Williams Plantation. A slave girl named Priscilla "Priss" & to the union of Thomas "Tom" & Priscilla "Priss" Green five children were born on that plantation. In time after their freedom six more children were born in freedom to that very couple THE FATHER & MOTHER OF US ALL HERE ON THIS FACEBOOK PAGE (SOAK THAT IN....); & this same couple years later made their union firm in old Warren County, North Carolina by exchanging vows now being recognized legally and were finally declared as man & wife on paper! This is what we all come from people! Get to know more about these past families all throughout this page & in turn have a better sense of where we all stand currently today after learning the very rich family history of which we come from.
