About Edith Marie Pennington, 89, of the Randolph Community in Metcalfe County died Feb. 8, 2007, at a Glasgow nursing home.
She was a retired school teacher. Her first teaching job was at Sugar Plant in Metcalfe County. She also taught at Dripping Springs and Richardsville High School in Warren County. She then taught at Warren Central for 14 years. After her retirement, she spent her time at home in Randolph with her little dog JoJo. She attended the Pleasant Hill Church of Christ at Randolph. She was a daughter of the late Walter Pennington and Lucy Terry Pennington.
Funeral is at 2 p.m. today at Butler Funeral Home, with burial in the Missionary Mound Cemetery. Visitation begins at 9 a.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include a nephew, Donald Edwards and his wife, Patt, of Glasgow; a niece, Wanda Gordon and her husband, Lee, of Glasgow; two great-nephews, Jeff Edwards and his wife, Marla, and Randy Edwards and his wife, Julie, all of Glasgow; and a great-niece, Becky Bale and her husband, Billy, of Tennessee
