About Event
We will complete our marathon weekend as we always do - at the beach. Many of us still leave near the ocean (we could not imagine not) but many will enjoy the sand between their toes and a dip in the waves….or just relaxing in a beach chair or on a blanket. For those who live locally, please bring extra beach gear for those who cannot fit theirs in the overhead bin! Start time is whenever you arise from the night before until whenever we leave. Since it will be after Labor Day, we will meet to the left of the lifeguard stand at Jones Beach Field 4 (look for the black and gold baloons!). The cost is $8 per vehicle or free with an Empire Pass.

Out of an abundance of caution, we have moved this event to an outdoor/sheltered venue at Tobay Beach - on the bay side at the Surf Shack with additional (if needed) space or shelter from the weather at the Boatyard. Although they open at 11am we plan to start at 4pm to meet at their large outdoor bar where we can each book tables for dinner if desired or just hang out at their venue. You can even bring beach chairs to sit outside but their tables have umbrellas and if the weather turns bad, the Boatyard nextdoor offers more shelter from the weather and live music. There is no parking fee after Labor Day and no beach access charge after 4pm since it is after Labor Day. Also may end up at the Lighthouse Diner afterwards Friday and/or Saturday night! For those who attended our 40th, this is on the bay side - our 40th was on the surf side.

We are honored to have long time Wantagh High School teacher Bill Bogatz to take us on a tour of our alma mater. Bill volunteers to take reunion alumni on tours on a routine basis. Since he has other school obligations mid-day, PLEASE be on time! We have done this several times in the past and it is a fun way to explore what has changed, what has not and find those places that you never knew were there! Details to follow. Here we were just 10 short years ago at our 40th! Can anyone identify the teacher who joined us? Hoping to see several of them this time!

Join us for a picnic at Belmont State Park. We have chosen an area and have a map to guide you there so email kathy950@gmail.com for a copy - they will also be handed out at the Friday night venue and black and gold baloons will lead the way. The only cost is the $8/car entrance fee (free with an Empire Pass) and whatever lunch you bring with you Many of us are planning to get our sandwiches at one of the many amazing Long Island delis. If you need a list and recommendations, let us know!

About Event
Main Event at the Elks is a Dinner with DJ Phil (Dolores Rice's son), buffet dinner, cash bar 6-7 (BYO bar snacks) and open bar/buffet 7-11PM. WE WILL WELCOME GUESTS ON A CASH ONLY BASIS IF YOU CONFIRM YOU WILL ATTEND TO ME BY MONDAY SEPTEMBER ($85). There will be 5 main courses, several sides, vegetarian options and a special dessert. We will have 50-60 classmates spread out in a venue that holds 200 with tables set apart, fewer chairs per table and the event is VAX ONLY. DJ Phil Rubis wll join us for the 3rd reunion in a row to play music from back in the day. Bring your memorabilia to share and we will also have a slide show of pictures from prior reunions, our Senior Movie (thanks to John Tumminelli!) and a Zoom call (probably during the cocktail hour from 6-7) with a link to be sent out closer to the event.
