Caroline Leavitt
Class of 1970
I became a New York Times and USA Today bestselling novelist! My 9th novel, Pictures of You (Algonquin Books) was on the Best books of 2011 Lists from the San Francisco Chronicle, The Providence Journal, Bookmarks and Kirkus. My 10th novel IS THIS TOMORROW is an Indie Next Pick and was reviewed in Vanity Fair (so far!) It will be out May 7, and I will be reading at Back Pages Books in waltham on the 7th at 7 and at Boston University Barnes and Noble on May 9th. The novel is actually set in 1950s Waltham. I hope you will read and buy it. My work has appeared in the New York Times, New York Magazine, Salon, The Washington Post, More Magazine, and more. I currently have a film option from Tracey Becker, who produced Finding Neverland with Johnny Depp. You can see more information about me and my tour at www.carolineleavitt.com.
I am also a book critic for People, The Boston Globe and the San Francisco Chronicle. I'm married to another writer, Jeff Tamarkin, and we have a 16 year old theater kid.
