A really dear friend in both school and Chevy Chase Methodist Church. What a nice guy. I remember when we were 16, the beltway opened and having new licenses we would abdicate Sunday school for the 60 minute drive around the beltway. I think our parents actually knew what we were doing. It is hard to think about Bill and not think about his love of basketball and of golf. He was such a hard-working guy, having jobs at the Governor's House when it first opened and I believe the Bethesdan, later.
I did see him at the 50th reunion - he yelled out "Judy Crockett" and I knew immediately who it was. We eventually made it through and had a great talk, - I met his new wife and he met my 2nd husband.
