I enlisted in the Marines with fellow '74 Walnut Ridge classmates Rick Garner and Dale Tefft. On October 8th, 1974 we arrived by bus on Parris Island South Carolina for Marine Corps bootcamp. Little did we know that our world would turn upside down for the next 3 months but we all survived and graduated as Marines on December 30th 1974.

Active For 15 Years and the other times are for Army Reserves 17 years. Have been in many MOS's from Radar Ground to Logistics, Transportation, to food service, and Admin personnel duties. It was a GREAT experience and i would recomend it for any young person. Dose'nt have to be ARMY any Military experience would do. My Father was Air Force. And my Youngest Son is in the Army food service 12 years in
