I enlisted in the Marines with fellow '74 Walnut Ridge classmates Rick Garner and Dale Tefft. On October 8th, 1974 we arrived by bus on Parris Island South Carolina for Marine Corps bootcamp. Little did we know that our world would turn upside down for the next 3 months but we all survived and graduated as Marines on December 30th 1974.

It was a GREAT experience and i would recomend it for any young person. Dose'nt have to be ARMY any Military experience would do. My Father was Air Force. And my Youngest Son is in the Army food service 12 years in

Our Walnut Ridge High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done! Not everyone gets to come home for the holidays and we want our Walnut Ridge High School Military to know that they are loved and appreciated.
