Robert "Bobby" Hartzell, age 14, of Tafton died Saturday, September 22, at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale. Born December 10, 1992, in Philadelphia, he was the son of Stephen J. and Jeannine (Millar) Hartzell.
A student by Wallenpaupack Area High School, he was a Life Scout with Boy Scout Troop #129 of Tafton, a Junior Member of Tafton Fire Dept and Ambulance and an avid snowboarder. He had a Catholic and Native American background.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister: Kimberly M. Hartzell of Tafton, a brother: Thomas J. Spry of Philadelphia, grandmother: Eileen "Mo Mo"; Shoemaker of Tafton, grandparents: Catherine Warren "Bud" Hartzell of Bensalem, PA, dear family friend: Joan "Lovey" Squire of Tafton, several aunts, uncles and one niece.
