Bruce was from a big family involved in community and church. He and his brothers were very active in Boy Scouts. His sisters were in Camp Fire. If you were in band class, you knew Bruce from the brass line-up. If you played football, he was on the team at Silver Hills Jr High and WHS. If you waited for the school bus in Silverton, you likely stood in-line with Bruce and brothers and sisters. The family moved away summer before Senior year. Bruce died in a car accident at the age of 20.
