Please tell classmates we are not mailing out info., everything will be done on Classmates, Facebook, and WW High Alumni. Please make out your Saturday dinner check to: "Wa-Hi Class of 1971" and mail to: 1971 Reunion Committee, c/o Rebecca Bennington-Geyer, 1644 Plaza Way #358, Walla Walla, WA, 99362 (include names of people attending dinner).
We will be having our great raffle again to save money for our 50th Reunion. Contact Becky (541-558-3997 or geyer@pocketinet.com) with your item ahead of time, then turn the item in on Friday or Saturday night. Friday night starts at 6pm and a beautiful stained-glass 'Seahawk' window hanging made by Mary Fleenor Moss will be raffled off at the Brew Pub. We have some great items so far for the raffle on Saturday night at the Country Club also: rooms at Cannon Beach, a magnum of Spring Valley Uriah wine, a PSA certified signed Reggie Jackson Hall of Fame baseball, and many other awesome items.....
Also at the Country Club, Deanna will be handing out DVD's of past reunions to classmates at the door. That same DVD will be playing on a screen all night that night. Myron Huie and Dave Jones will do a memorial presentation on the deceased and we will have a memorial board present. The raffle will be an ongoing feature throughout the night. We will have 60's, 70's, & 80's music playing softly at the early part of the night, but will probably crank it up for dancing later on...... If you do not want to attend the dinner, but would like to come later, you will be allowed in after 8pm with no charge.
Dress code for the Country Club for men is: shirts with collars, shorts no shorter than right above the knee, jeans are 'ok'. I guess we women can wear whatever we want (no short shorts, but short short skirts are "ok"; figure that ? :-) Some people like to dress up, some don't; we really don't care how you dress, we just want you to attend and have a good time!!!!!!! Social time will be from 5pm-6:30pm, dinner approx. 6:30pm, music sometime after 8pm, raffle will be an ongoing feature...... Let's make this a reunion to remember as we aren't getting any younger and we have recently lost many wonderful classmates......so sad.
