| About Me | I attended Temple University for one year , then transfered to the Juilliard School. After graduation I went to Israel to play with the Israel Philharmonic. In Israel I met my wife, Elina , a cellist from Finland. We were married in 1987 and have two boys, Markus and Johannes. We returned to a busy musical life in New York City in 1991. I started playing with the Philadelphia Orchestra and teaching at Vassar College in 2002. I am now a full time member of the Orchestra and I am on the faculty of Temple University, Bard College and the Curtis Institute of Music.Markus studies bass at Juilliard and Johannes is a sound engineer working for the ...(read more) |
