About	James Douglas Angleberger Doug Angleberger, age 67, formerly of Thurmont, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 23, 2026. Born March 8, 1959 in Frederick, he was the son of the late James and Honey Lee Angleberger. Doug is survived by his siblings, Janice Carpenter and husband Doc of Roseville, OH; Sally Snedden of Las Vegas, NV; Gary Angleberger of Waynesboro, PA; Marc Angleberger and Leslie Coats; and Jody Angleberger and wife Missy, all of New Midway; many nieces and nephews and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Doug was a 1977 graduate of Walkersville High School. He worked for many years for CJ Miller and later as a cook for several restaurants. He concluded his career at Burger King in Thurmont, where he served as assistant manager before his retirement. Doug also spent a number of years residing in Las Vegas. Doug found great enjoyment in life’s simple pleasures. He loved gambling, playing horseshoes, vegetable gardening, fishing, and camping. He was an enthusiastic sports fan and especially enjoyed following the Baltimore Orioles. A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 29 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Hartzler Funeral Home, 404 S.
