About	Rena Elizabeth Ramsburg Snyder Shry November 21, 1924 — March 9, 2026 Frederick Rena Elizabeth Ramsburg Snyder Shry, 101, of Frederick, Maryland, died on Monday, March 9, 2026 at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Glade Valley in Walkersville. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Lynwood Snyder of May 14, 1963, and her second husband, John Atlee Shry on November 19, 1985. Born on November 21, 1924, in Walkersville, she was the daughter of Ellis Orlando Ramsburg and Christine Amelia Rowland Ramsburg. She was a graduate of Walkersville High School and enjoyed working the family farm with husband Paul and family. She was a member of Glade UCC, Lewistown Homemakers Club, and Frederick County Farm Bureau. She worked a number of years at FMH as admissions clerk and switchboard operator. She enjoyed bowling, music history and reading. She also was a member of Walkersville Senior Citizens. She is survived by two daughters, Paula Aboyoun of Olney, and Terrena Faye Shelton of North Carolina; son, Gary Lynwood Snyder and wife Mary Charlene of Frederick, nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, one niece, and one nephew. She was predeceased by her sons-in-law Charles Aboyoun and Joseph Shelton, brother David Ramsburg, sister Ruth R. Martin, and two aunts, Betsy Prelitz and Janice Rowland. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Sunday, March 15, 2026 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am on Monday, March 16, 2026, from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Chad Weddle officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Frederick.
