About	Mrs. Dale Lea Kipe, 59, of Frederick died on Saturday March 18, 2006 at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, Baltimore. She was the wife for 23 years of Samuel H. Kipe. Born on January 24, 1947 in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late Chester Elwood and Mary Ellen Barthlow Boone. Mrs. Kipe was an active member of Grace Community Christian Church, Frederick, where she was in charge of the nursery. She was member of Tuscarora Grange #433 where she held the office of Treasurer, a member of Frederick County Pomona Grange where she held the office of Chaplin, a member of Maryland State Grange where she held the office of State Flora, and a member of National Grange where she was a 7th degree holder. Surviving in addition to her husband are one son, Paul Leatherman and his wife Wendy; and one daughter, Sheila Selzer and her husband Keith; three grandchildren, Michael Lawrence Selzer, Paul Nelson Leatherman IV (Buck) and Walter Michael Leatherman (Wally); one sister, Jean Boone. Also survived by a sister and brother-in-law Harold and Ruth Adkins. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and special friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 21, from 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday, March 22, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, where funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 23, at 11:00 a.m. Jim Dewar will officiate. Interment will be in Blue Ridge Cemetery, Thurmont. Those desiring may make memorial contributions in Mrs. Kipe's name to the Grace Community Christian Church, 2100 Rosemont Avenue, Frederick, MD 21702.
