About	Kathy Alice (Gladhill) Jenkins, 74, of Thurmont, Maryland, passed from this life on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at Frederick Health Hospital in Frederick, MD. She was the beloved wife of Paul Bowen Jenkins. Born on September 1, 1950, in Woodsboro, MD, she was the daughter of the late Merle Franklin and Margaret Kathryn (Hahn) Gladhill. Kathy graduated from Walkersville High School in 1968, laying the foundation for a lifetime of achievement. She continued her education, earning an Associate's degree from Frederick Community College and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Shepherd College. With a passion for teaching and nurturing young minds, she worked tirelessly as a teacher, store clerk, and secretary, touching the lives of countless students along the way. Her love for the Lord was a guiding force in her life. Kathy dedicated herself to her faith by teaching Sunday School classes for both children and adults. Her spirit of service extended beyond the local community; she embarked on mission trips to various locations, including a Choctaw reservation, Costa Rica, Mexico, and Benin. Kathy actively participated in Community Bible Study and retreats, all driven by her desire to spread love and kindness wherever she went. Kathy's family was her pride and joy. She was a supportive and loving wife to Paul Bowen Jenkins, whom she married on June 10, 1972. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and the values they cherished. Kathy was the proud mother of four sons: Robbie Jenkins and his wife Cindy, Jason Jenkins, Jeremy Jenkins and his wife Mollie, and Isaac Jenkins and his wife Lauren. Each of her sons brought immense joy to her life, and she took delight in her role as a grandmother to Acacia, Brandon, Nabi, and Tatiana, as well as a great-grandmother to Aubri. Kathy is also survived by her sister, Julie Ann Shenk and her husband Jerry of Hagerstown, MD, along with her dear nieces Jenna Wilkening, Joelle Shenk, Jamie Rashford, and Justine Shenk, who all hold cherished memories of their beloved aunt. A celebration of Kathy's life journey will take place at 10 am on Friday, July 11, 2025, at Victory Tabernacle Church, 6710 Kellys Store Road in Thurmont, MD. Pastor David Quill will officiate.
