About I. Webber Bell, age 85, joined his wife with the Lord, passing away peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 following a brief illness. Born November 2, 1939 in Frederick County, he was the son of the late George Washington Bell and Carrie Long Bell. He was the devoted husband of the late Mary Elizabeth Nicholson Bell, with whom he shared 57 loving years of marriage until her passing in 2018.

Webber was a graduate of Walkersville high school. He spent his life working, doing what he loved, being a dairy farmer in Carroll and Frederick counties. In later years he worked at Millers Market in Manchester where he enjoyed helping and chatting with customers and sharing his thoughts.

He was a lifelong member of Chapel Lutheran church. He will be remembered for his strong opinions, warm conversations and his absolute love and dedication to his family and community.

He is survived by his children, Dawn Raver and husband Glenn of Manchester, and Ryan Bell and wife Ruth of Hampstead; and by his sister Louise Brengle of Montana. He was a proud "Pappy Webber" to his grandchildren: Thomas Raver and wife Tabitha of Hampstead, Johnathon Raver and wife Mona and Benjamin Raver and wife Stacey all of Hanover, PA, Pam Bell and husband Noah Ehrenberg of Clarksburg, Ross Bell and wife Stephanie, Shelley Bell and husband Brian Knouse and Robbie Bell all of Hampstead. He was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren: Mason Raver, Madilyn Raver, Marissa Knouse, Paisley Raver, Asher Ehrenberg, Jacoby Knouse and Coastal Raver.

In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by his son, Dwayne W. Bell, in 2023, and by five siblings.

Family and Friends may call at Hartzler Funeral Home-Libertytown, 11802 Liberty Rd, Frederick, on Thursday, May 1 from 5-8 pm.

A funeral service will be at 3 p.m. on Friday, May 2 at Chapel Lutheran Church, 11109 Daysville Road. Pastor Ron Brown will officiate. Interment will follow in Chapel Cemetery.
