About Me | Chapman's Ministry Above... Music consultant, Workshop and Worship facilitator, Vocal Technician What is on the outside does matter as much as what is on the inside because what you see on the outside is a reflection of who is on the inside! We are commissioned to be ambassadors for the living Christ and because of this we are obligated to bring honor to Christ in all we do, including our appearance. We have a responsibility to represent Christ well and a duty to reflect God?s glory in every way. My first love is music! I am very cultural so I enjoy going to festivals, museums, art galleries, music venues, poetry readings, open mic and plays. I like sports as well; basketball being number one, then football, baseball, and volleyball...put it this way...I like all sports...even golf! I love to read, especially books by black authors. I keep busy by surrounding myself with friends and family not to mention work keeps me pretty busy as well. Overall I believe I am a very well balanced man.I like to play the organ and piano for church. I bring you greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Greg Chapman, a Minister of Music being used by God in His service. I have many years in the ministry of music and have a love and passion for God’s gospel and His church. The keyboard is my primary instrument. I also play drums. I am an accomplished lead and background vocalist, band leader, director, composer and producer as well. I have played every type of organ there is in churches from a tiny pump organ in the back of a pick-up truck ( I used to play for an annual Easter Sunrise service in a park) to some really Grand old majestic pipe organs, and a few cranky ones too and just about everything in between, even an old Hammond or two. I love the Lord Jesus Christ with all of my body, soul, mind, and spirit. I only read the 1611 KJV, but if you don't use that I don't have a problem with it. God really meant EVERY word of the Bible in every verse, and if God said it, I believe it, and that should be sufficient. If you don't believe the way I do I, again, don't have a problem with that. I try not to be judgmental in anything, because I don't want to be judged with the same judgment as I would judge."God sent not His Son to condemn the world, but that the world, through Him, might be saved." I will be judged by God almighty for how I lived my life, as will you, nobody else answers for you. The awesome, powerful God that I know personally will love you, no matter what. He will love you all the way to heaven and He will also love you all the way to hell. My strengths are identifying and teaching parts, encouraging correct harmonies and motivating choir members to reach their higher potential. But most of all, I am a child of the Most High God through Jesus Christ our Lord, AMEN...(read more) |
