About Me	I am the proud daddy of a couple of loud, demanding kids. They're stubborn, impatient, smelly, obnoxious, and cute as can be. They're great! As of writing this (late 2011), the boy is about 3 years old. It's finally gotten to the point that he can act as my giant, walking German-English dictionary .. that is, as long as the word is something like helicopter, bulldozer, or dinosaur. The girl, about 1.5, is finally starting to speak. Let it be known that, like her big brother, her first word was "Daddy". HA! Apart from that, important first words were "No", "MINE!!", and "Uh-oh..." (to let us know that she just "Uh-oh!"'d in her diaper). We live in an old-timey city in eastern Germany that got cut in half about 60 years ago. Now, when I go grocery shopping, I have to ask myself... "Should I shop in Poland or Germany? What do I need, Pierogies or beer? Kielbasa or bratwurst?" Mind you, we have no car, but it's equally convenient to shop in either country, except that ...(read more)
