Mechanic, he repaired all vehicles at Camp Williams. He spent two weeks every year at Fort Collins, Colorado.

Joined the Army in 1981. Served in the states, Germany, and korea. Joined the Kansas National Guard in 1986. Been to Hurricanes Katrina/Rita in 2005. Served in Iraq 2006-2008.

Enlisted in the Utah Air National Guard February 14, 1990. Spent my first 19+ years serving as an Heating, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, and Ventilation craftsman with the 151 Civil Engineering Squardron. Now serve as the 130 Engineering Installations Squadron First Sergeant, overseeing multiple personnel programs for the squadron commander.
My travels have taken me to Prince Sultan Air Base, Saudi Arabia; Ali Al Salem, Kuwait; Constanta, Romania; Ramstein, Germany; Saskatchewan, Canada, and many locations throughout the United States.
Currently hold the rank of Master Sergeant (E-7).

Master Sergeant Ken L. Bangerter distinguished himself by outstanding service as Quality Services Inspector, 151st Logistics Group, Utah Air National Guard. Sergeant Bangerter has been a member4 of the Utah Air National Guard for 32 years and has served with distinction in many positions throughout the maintenance community including Flight Chief for “A†Flight. Sergeant Bangerter’s vast knowledge and experience in the field of aircraft maintenance contributed to the success of Wing deployments including Operations Northern Watch, Deliberate Guard, Phoenix Duke, Allied Force, and Desert Storm, exercises including Cope Thunder and Red Flag. Sergeant Bangerter’s experience and knowledge of the Wing mission made him an invaluable resource during Operational Readiness Exercises. The distinctive accomplishments of Sergeant Bangerter culminate a long and distinguished career in the service of his country and reflect great credit upon himself, the Air National Guard, and the United States Air Force.
