About Me	In 1989 I was the first woman to compete for the USA in wheelchair weightlifting in an international competition in England. I won the gold and set a World record. I have competed in the World Wheelchair Games in Weightlifting for the USA in 6 countries and won 3 Gold Medals and 2 silver. I have been National champion 12 times and hold the record in two weight classes. I was the female Athlete of the Year for the USA in wheelchair sports in 1997. I was selected female Athlete of the year 1990 and 1998 by the sportswriters of Alabama. I was was selected to be in the Vestavia Hills Sports Hall of Fame in 2010.
