About	Obituary for Mr. Thomas Wayne Meeks Thomas Wayne Meeks, 70, husband of Dixie Glover Meeks, of 120 N. Highway 11, West Union passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Oconee Memorial Hospital. A native of Vero Beach, Florida, Mr. Meeks was the son of the late Thomas Elmo and Lillie Conniff Meeks. Mr. Meeks was a veteran of the Merchant Marines having served in Vietnam. He was a residential building contractor and attended MEBA Engineering School in Baltimore, Maryland. Mr. Meeks was an ordained deacon of the Baptist faith, served on many mission trips, taught Royal Ambassadors for many years. In addition to his wife, Mr. Meeks is survived by his sons: Robert Meeks (Wendy) of Oakway; Ryan Meeks USAF (Jessie) of Shalimar, FL; grandchildren: Reagan, Macey, Livi, Brock and Bentley; brother: Ronnie Meeks (Tammy) of Sebastian, FL; and sister: Linda Meeks of Utah. Funeral services will be private. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM, Monday, November 16, 2020 at Bountyland Baptist Church.
