Lowther Funeral Home In Loving Memory of Benny Bruce Blanton July 8, 1950 - January 19, 2016 Benny Bruce Blanton, age 65, died of natural causes at his home on January 19, 2016. He was a lifelong resident of Vero Beach and of Primitive Baptist faith. He is survived by his spouse of 45 years, Glinda Blanton; daughters, Sonia (Michael) Dobish of Orlando, Julia (John) Driggers of Vero Beach, Lena (Steve) Frank of Vero Beach; grandchildren, Courtney Frank, Alexander Frank, Brandon Driggers, Jordan Dobish, Brooke Dobish; sisters, Shirley (John) Dingus of North Carolina, Allene (John) Marshall of Vero Beach; sister-in-law, Alice Blanton Williford; many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by father, Halton Leon Blanton; mother, Mildred Knowles Blanton; brothers, Timmy Blanton and James Blanton. With his quick wit, he often said he was ?tired? and ?re-tired? from his shoe shop and the citrus industry. His love of nature was shared with all of his family. He enjoyed gardening, wildlife, fishing, hunting, and watching sports and current events. His greatest joy was playing with his grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Lighthouse Church of God, 1190 27th Avenue in Vero Beach.
