He was born in Vero Beach, Florida, February 21, 1950 to parents, Woodrow and Carolyn Devane. David is survived by his son, Travis Devane; brother, Carl Devane; sisters, Shirley Devane Hartley and Odessa Devane Bird; aunts, Carleen Bell and Bert Bass; and adopted sister, Denise Cortez. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a Galveston Yellow Cab Driver for 20 years.
