James Crandall Logsdon was born on February 25, 1940, in Los Angeles, California, his father, Ned, was 29 and his mother, Betty, was 24. He married Carolyn JoAnne Earls (Logsdon) (Robbins) (Speck) on June 17, 1967, in Fallbrook, California. They were divorced in 1975. Carolyn passed away in 1999. They had two sons, John and Michael during their marriage. Jim died on July 2, 2016, in Orinda, Walnut Creek, California, at the age of 76.
