It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Caryn Lee Ogroskin, age 74, of Northridge, California who died from breast cancer on Friday, January 17, 2025. A funeral for Caryn was held Friday, January 24, 2025.

She was survived by her two daughters Nicole Brant (Robert) of Las Vegas, Jaclyn Kurowski (Josh), grandchildren, sisters Linda Sherry Thompson, Robin Breding of Eugene Oregon, many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Caryn married Norman Harvey Ogroskin on August 15, 1976 in Los Angeles. Caryn and Norm were members of Temple Beth Emet of Burbank. Norm graduated from Hamilton High Class of 67, attended UCLA with a bachelors in Education.

Norm worked for Ash City, a clothing manufacturer and distributor that offered customizable apparel for casual and corporate use. Norm passed away suddenly at age 60 in 2010 and was laid to rest at Eden Memorial Park, Mission Hills.
????? Caryn was predeceased by her father Norman Brill (1926-2010) a World War II Navy Veteran, and mother Ruth Brill (1926-2020) of Palm Desert, California. Ruth was laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Cathedral City.

Life Story
Caryn Lee Brill was born on August 17, 1950 in Los Angeles, to Esther ‘Ruthie’ Tushner and Norman Brill, joining two year old sister, Linda. The family was living on North Gardner in Los Angeles in an apartment, and her father was listed on the US Census as working as a mechanic. Another sister joined the family, Robin.
In 1962, Caryn worked a booth at the Playa del Rey Elementary School Halloween Festival sponsored by the PTA. In 1966, Caryn was a guest along with Terry Jenkins for Judy Goodwin’s sweet 16 birthday party which was held at Kingpin Lanes in WLA.
Caryn attended Playa del Rey Elementary School graduating in June of 1962, Marina del Rey Junior High, and Venice High School. When at Venice, Caryn was a cheerleader, class treasurer, member of the Winter 1967 house of representatives, Ushers, and was voted 'most polite' by her classmates. Caryn graduated in June of 1968 with the Aeonians class.

In August of 1967 Caryn was a member of the Hi-Deb and Key-Man Council representing Venice, California. The Hi-Deb Club was for high school girls where Caryn attended fashion shows, made guest appearances, and even attended an event sponsored by '17 Magazine' held at the Hollywood Palladium.
In October of 1968, Caryn was a 'Las Duenas Debutante' where a tea was held at the Charter Oaks Restaurant. Caryn was one of several debutantes who made their bow to society at the ball which was held at the International Hotel on January 18, 1969.
In 1992, Caryn was living in San Fernando Valley, wife, a mother of two, and was an artist.
Caryn will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and remain forever in the hearts of those who loved her.
