It is with profound sadness that we share the sudden and unexpected passing of Nate Simms on Friday, May 8, 2026, at the age of 76. His departure leaves a deep and lasting void, but his memory will continue to be cherished with love, gratitude, and enduring remembrance by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Nate graduated with the Summer of 1967 Les Uniques class. He made it a point, time and again, to gather with his friends at Joe Bravo’s Barber Shop, where conversation flowed as easily as laughter and stories were traded like old currency. Those moments became more than routine visits—they grew into lasting bonds, friendships that stood the test of time and remained a steady thread throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his wife S68 Margaret Fields Simms in 2020. Together, Nate and Margaret’s lives remain intertwined in memory—carried forward by family, friends, and all who were touched by their time together.
He is lovingly remembered by his four children, Anthony, Darius, Gwendolyn, and Odell, and lives on through the joy and legacy of his grandchildren. He is also held close in the hearts of many extended family members and dear friends whose lives were forever touched by his presence, his love, and his steady strength.
